Newborn CareSimple everyday care tips to help parents keep a newborn comfortable, clean and safe.
The first few weeks with a newborn are a time of learning for the whole family. Keep your baby warm and comfortable, wash your hands before handling the baby, and follow the feeding plan recommended by your pediatrician. Keep the sleeping area safe and free from loose pillows, blankets and soft objects. Monitor feeding, wet diapers and your baby's general behavior. Seek medical advice promptly if your newborn is feeding poorly, is unusually sleepy, has difficulty breathing, develops fever, or you are concerned about any change in behavior.
